HISTORY

The MVCCA and local area residents participated in this study, approved by Saanich Council in September of 2015. The area of concern is that part of the Saanich Core on either side of the Saanich portion of Douglas Street. The Planning Dep't presented a progress summary to Council, on Nov. 6th, 2017.  The committee met in May 2019 to review the draft report.  Council delayed the Public Hearing in order to consider input form the Housing Task Force.  Also available is the report prepared by the MVCCA entitled "From Nowhere Special to Someplace Great"
