6 Dec. 2024 answers from Saanich Planner- Thomas Kempster
To answer your questions:
The approval of the DP will be made by Lindsay Chase, Director of Planning.
The project will be sent to the Advisory Design Panel for review. Accessibility measures will be considered in both the internal design reviews by Planning and Engineering staff and can also be brought up at the panel.
There are no TDM requirements as part of this development. A Traffic Impact Assessment was submitted as part of the application, which I can provide to the Association upon request.
As of the current site plan, no solar panels are proposed for the development. The development as proposed, however, does comply with BC Energy Step Code 4 requirements and GHG Emission Level 4, which makes it a zero-carbon, highly power efficient building that goes above and beyond current requirements in Saanich or in the BC Building Code.
We look forward to receiving comments from the MVCCA.
Thank you,
Thomas
